Midlife Services...The Change of Life

PPCO offers "mid-life" services for women past their child-bearing years.  Women can continue to come to PPCO for their gynecological exams, breast exams, counseling and HRT.  HRT or hormone replacement therapy, is one option we are able to give our patients to relieve the symptoms of the loss of estrogen at menopause.  HRT can be delivered to the body orally, vaginally, or through an injection or patch.  HRT has many positive effects, but is also can have serious long-term risks.  Like all treatments, it isn't right for everyone.  Only after discussing the risks and benefits with a PPCO clinician should a woman decide whether or not HRT is right for her. 

And as with all PPCO services, the final decision is the client's.
